The Daily Scroll: A Mentorship Recap - February 10th, 2020
From the author of Atomic Habits, this quote from James Clear is a sure guide for goal setting! Growing up we are often told to reach for the stars, but what we don’t hear, is the cost of the rocketship to get there and the level of sacrifice it will take.
Because of this, many of us think about setting a goal as choosing something that we want, but bringing another layer of understanding sets us up for success and that means we have to be aware that our wants also come at a price...
When setting manageable goals, it’s helpful to know what we are willing to DO and sacrifice in order to achieve that goal. This is a dimension of goal setting that we often neglect, but need to place more value on, as part of the goal making equation. (Thanks to our guy James Clear!)
When we think about it this way: most all of us want a million dollars in the bank, fit bodies, and great relationships, but the catch is - wanting isn’t enough!! And (as much as we may wish), neither is mind-summoning through the law of attraction...we gotta DO, yo! Thinking will not bring our goals into reality, but acting will. The question to ask is: What actions are you willing to take?
