A Daily Scroll: A Mentorship Recap – December 30th, 2021 – Show Notes

Kay:

Hello, Questers, and welcome. It’s Thursday, December 30th. This is episode 499. So, this is the final episode eve of the Mentorship Quest as you know it. While we are wrapping up our series here, it has been incredible to do our reflections. But we have such a juicy quote for you today from an incredible Brazilian lyricist and novelist Paulo Coelho who wrote the novel, The Alchemist, which is one of the best-selling personal growth books of all time. It has sold more than 150 million copies worldwide and is definitely a suggested read from Shila and me.

Shi:

His quote for you today is, “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” Pretty powerful and such a fun concept to bring forward today as our second to last episode of the Mentorship Quest and your second to last day of 2021. This is just a great reminder for us, especially here in what we affectionately call weird week, and it’s just a strange week to be alive. It’s the last week of the year. It is a week in between holidays. Your kids are out of school. Things don’t make sense. Decorations are in transit, and it can be a weird week. But something that’s not weird is focusing on the great message that Paulo brings forward here and the power behind it. “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” That’s pretty powerful.

Kay:

Now, when you want something deeply from the inner parts of your soul and it is inspired through something that is kind of intangible to even explain. Generally, those kinds of wants are the ones that the universe puts in your heart or that God places in your mind and in your spirit in order to help you carry out your life’s purpose. Now, you might hear this quote and say, well, “When I want something, all the universe conspires in helping me achieve it.” Well, what I want most in life is the Lamborghini so is the universe going to help me conspire to achieve that Lamborghini. Well, if you are taking the action towards becoming a person of wealth and influence, and that Lamborghini symbolizes a particular level that you’ve achieved as a result of living out whatever your purpose or passion is, then by all means the universe will conspire in helping you to achieve it. But if you sit on your couch and say, all I want in the world is a Lamborghini and you flip on that next episode of “The Wheel of Time” and just keep watching chances are the universe isn’t going to do a whole lot of conspiring.

Shi:

Though please know that we highly recommend the show, “The Wheel.”

Kay:

It is really good, both the books and the TV show.

Shi:

The books and the TV show though the books are a little bit painfully longwinded. So, if you’re not looking for a 10,000-page project, you might just want to watch the shows. They do a pretty darn good job of capturing the essence of the show. But I think Paulo does a good job of capturing the essence of this message here. What’s not included in this wisdom is anything about timing and I think that’s one thing that is important to pick up on here because you are part of the process and so the timing is somewhat dependent on you. If you stay focused and want that Lamborghini, but you stay on that couch, your timeline for Lamborghini is probably longer than your lifespan. But the universe is still trying to conspire you in that direction.

But that piece that you are a player in this and the only thing that can stand in the way is you and what’s between your ears is the piece that some of us can miss sometimes when people talk about. This is that macro piece of creation, but we are co-creators and we’re the other piece of the creation. So, there’s that individual level of creation, of your responsibility in moving confidently in the direction of your dreams as Thoreau tells us. That’s that desire piece and then there’s the macro piece, which is the energetic, universal forces that are also aligning to try and help fulfill that desire, but it takes both of those in order for the creation to come about. Paulo doesn’t say anything about the universe doing it on your timeline or any other timeline only that it conspires to help you achieve it.

Kay:

It certainly doesn’t say that the universe does it on your behalf either and I’m so glad Shi that you brought forward this joint effort. The very word conspire means of events or circumstances that seem to be working together to bring about a particular result. So, events or circumstances, or people working together to bring about a particular result. So, the very word conspire alludes to the idea of participation from both parties. You’ve got to be the one to get up and make it happen. When you want it, it’s something that’s given to you. You don’t have to feel bad for the things that you want in this world. The universe wants to work with you. It wants to co-create alongside you. It’s the reason you are gifted with both that beautiful, energetic being inside and physical reality in which to express it because all the rest of the energy in the world wants to come alongside you to co-create every, every, everything that comes to your heart. So, as a reminder of this beautiful Paulo Coelho quote today, who says, “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.”

Shi:

Alright, it’s your final Thoughtful Thursday Quest today. Write in a journal for five minutes things you wish to achieve and things you are grateful for. Twofold, things you wish to and things you’re grateful for. Why? Because appreciation invites more blessings into your life and what you write you invite. Are you ready?

Kay:

Let’s quest!
